Yes, imagination is more important than knowledge. One can acquire knowledge through, say, education, enculturation or even brainwashing, but not imagination. Imagination is one's ability to go beyond the information given and create new patterns in any domain. So, I agree with Einstein's quote.

One's mind may not grow for several reasons. Some reasons can be biological, as is the case of Alzheimer's patients. Other reasons can be personal. People governed, say, by the gospel of money, greed, injustice, not by the gospel of love, compassion or empathy, are candidates for not having their minds growing. Other reasons may be situational. If, for example, we live in a competitive rather than cooperative atmosphere, we are likeley not to have our minds growing.

So, if we want to have our minds growing we should pursue the true, the good, and the beautiful, not the false, the bad and the ugly. When this is the case, we can think what seems to be unthinkable at first glance.

I believe that if you are a normal person the rate of growing or improvement of your mind depends on of your biorhythm. There are some days or weeks that you don't learn more thing quickly, however there are other times that not happened that.

From my appreciation, if you each day of your life can learn a little knowledge then you will see profits in the future

For one to make the mind grow, one needs to love nature, observe the things happening around him (the universe/nature/environment) and tries to give explainations to the occurrance of those things. This leads to the proccess of imagination leading to mind growth (expression of the mind potentials).
