I have been working with Ni ferrite as the working electrode. From literature, I have seen many papers of Ni ferrite in KOH showing clear redox peaks. But when I am performing electrochemical in KOH I am not getting redox peaks. If peaks are there then they are degrading soon. What should I do?
Hi, actually the Redox peak generation depends on your materials and dependent to structure, size, etc and cleanliness of your electrode. However based on the 2nd line of your queries, the issue is with electrode finctionalization using your NPs. Try to cast the NPs onto a very clean electrode and follow standard protocol for NPs loading
Mostafa Kamal Masud Thank you for your guidance, sir. Sir,I am drop-casting my material on graphite sheets. So how can I control the same. One more question, can it be due to substrate as from literature people are making films on ni foam.
What is the reference electrode you are using? and with what potential range? Sometimes these things affects the peak response. And do you refer degradation means disappearance of peak as it shift to end of potential window?
Rupali Mane I am using Ag/AgCl as a reference electrode and the potential range is -0.3-0.2V. I have checked various potential ranges also but did not get the peak in them.
Mahak Gupta I will consider the range is Vs Ag/AgCl and not with RHE. right? If yes, firstly your selection of potential range looks incorrect. It seems that the redox peak for Ni ferrite observed around 0.2 V Vs Ag/AgCl. I would suggest change the window to (-0.2 V to 0.6 V) you will observed the peak. And secondly in my case this happened once that due to error in reference electrode also we don't get expected result. So I would suggest you to check with other reference electrode or first try bare electrode and then with your working electrode. Hope this will work. All the best.

Mahak Gupta Nickel ferrite in positive potential window and in KOH electrolyte will show redox peaks just check once in the +ve potential window. In CV analysis, I have got redox peaks in the range 0.5 to 1V but many papers have shown peaks in the range 0-0.6 V.
In glucose sensor, whenour materials show peaks? before addition of after addition of glucose.
Can you share image of the same... Also please explain briefly what your question is. Like which peak are you talking about
