Hello,
Generally, the bare glassy carbon electrode (GCE) does not show any peak for the reduction of Hydrogen peroxide at the potential window of -0.1 V to -1.2 V. On the other hand, metal nanoparticles such as Au, Ag, Pt and Pd modified GC electrodes show the response of hydrogen peroxide at the said potential window. Is there any particular reason behind this activity?
Few papers have been reported the Ag or Au nanostructures as artificial enzyme mimetics. But there is no clear evidence for this statement in their papers.
