I am a lecturer in EE course for almost 20 years. When studying my Ph.D in UK, I used the Keysight ADS software for free. But when I come back in Thailand many years ago, I contacted with the company to show my intention to use ADS as a software tool for teaching my students. The company told me that there is no free license policy in Thailand and the price is ridiculously expensive. Does any one give a clear explanation for this ?

You can ask Keysight if there are plans for the students to get fee licences in Thailand. I think if your university is participating in the Keysight EEsof EDA University Educational Support Program you can get the student licence free of charge. The question if your university can participate?

IMHO, i think you need to contact the
keysight marketing branch and they will solve this specially if the software is not renowned in Thailand.
Since, a big portion of the marketing plans for any Firm is promoting the software via free limited or demo license, Hence, when you email them ask them for the opportunity to fund or partial fund for the software license.
Also, you can try negotiating their competitors firm to be fair.

Some reliable sources may not be easily accessible. For example, an online source may require payment, and a print-only source may be available only in university libraries. Rare historical sources may even be available only in special museum collections and archives. Do not reject reliable sources just because they are difficult or costly to access. If you have trouble accessing a source, others may be able to do so on your behalf .
