We claim to be doing pretty good in the area of health care and pharmaceuticals but still we haven't been able to come up with a formidable solution for the Nipah virus. Why ? Does this indicate that our pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical research organisations are inept at anything other than copying and pasting or is the solution really very complicated ?

Nipah virus infection (NiV) is a viral infection caused by the Nipah virus. Symptoms from infection vary from none to fever, cough, headache, shortness of breath, and confusion. This may worsen into a coma over a day or two. Complications can include inflammation of the brain and seizures following recovery.
