Why is the tangential velocity negative for higher reynolds number?

I am simulating blood flow through stenosed artery using ANSYS. From the tangential velocity vs axial direction diagram i can see that for higher reynolds number the value of tangential velocity across the stenosis region becomes negative? why does it happen?
