So far, I was thinking that in the northern hemisphere the cyclonic rotation is in anti clockwise direction. So, with the same direction its movement also be there. (e.g., most of the Bay of Bengal (east coast) cyclones like.. Neelam, Thane, Nisha)... But in the Arabian sea it is moving towards North east direction (e.g., cyclone Nilofar) ..
Is it because of background wind or any other factors are there for determining the cyclonic movement?
I am willing to know which factor is determining the cyclone movement...

The Coriolis force plays an important in the recurving of cyclone. However, as in the post monsoon and winter seasons, westerly flow dominates (extends up to lower latitudes), this strong westerly wind acts as streeing wind and likely to push storm towards NE direction. So most probably causes can be strong Westerly wind and Coriolis deflection.----------
this happens due to the recurvature property of cyclone.The explanation for recurvature lies in the fact that cyclones (and anticyclones) possess angular momenta with respect to their spin axes. This will be referred to as their spin angular momenta. They also possess angular momenta with respect to the axis of rotation of the Earth, which will be called their terrestrial angular momenta. The turning of the spin angular momentum vector with the rotation of the Earth is a forced precession which creates a torque on the cyclone that accelerates it toward the nearest pole. As the cyclone moves toward its pole it gets closer to the axis of rotation of the Earth. The preservation of the terrestrian angular momentum then requires it to increase its velocity toward the east.

Oindrila, I agree your angular momentum conservation (re -curvature) concept . It gives good explanation for cyclone Nilofar movement (North-west). But, What about the cyclone Hudhud it has hit Vishakapatnam (movement towards North-west direction)? If it is only due to re-curvature effect means it should hit on Myanmar.......
Siva, it depends on so many other factors also like the distance from the expected landfall region, strength of the eye and obviously on the momentum and angular velocities of the system. From one cyclone to another cyclone it varies. if we follow the dynamics and try to calculate the path using the angular momentum and other synoptic data, we will be able to forecast the path, and i.e what our meteorologists are doing. When and which point recurvature will occur, entirely depends on the cyclone's nature.

Nilofar was being pushed by the Pakistan-Arabia Dust Cloud, and I have attached the image from Meteosat7 from October from http://rammb.cira.colostate.edu. They have an archive where you can watch a movie of the Dust Cloud trapping and pushing against the cyclone.
