I prepared x-alpha-GAL solution in DMF at concentration 20mg/ml. When adding this solution to water (liquid media), a white precipitate is forming. I tried mixing DMF with water, NO precipitate. I tried cooling down the x-a-gal solution, still a precipitate is forming. I never had this problem before. In order to check if new x-a-gal vial is the problem, I tried the old vial powder to make new solutions (which I've used before without any issues) and it's also forming a white precipitate with water.
I am using Takarabio Y2H kit.
Any insight as of why this is happening now?
