Hi all,

I've used the ATHI scale to investigate attitudes towards homeless across two disciplines: Social Work and Computer Science. It has been validated. However, the scale only uses 11 items intotal which makes me think this may be one reason. Another reason is that I am simply doing the analysis wrong. Can anyone help?

The ATHI scale has 4 sub-scales (Personal Causation, Societal Causation, Affiliation and Solutions). When analysing the PC sub-scale I get a Cronback's alpha of .47. This subscale only has 3 items. Also, am I supposed to split these between subjects? If so, for social work students the Cronback's alpha is .484 and for computer science students the Cronback's alpha is .525.

Help is apprecaited.
