Dear Researchgate,

I've been regularly confronted with the situation of wishing to thank the authors that send me a print of their work, and I cannot do it, as I am informed that I can only thank my counterparts that follow my work.

To be very honest, I totally disagree with such procedure. I feel unkind for not being able to send just a short word thanking for having shared the work with me, or ask any question regarding the paper contents. I think that any author feels happy to know that his/her work is appreciated, but with such communication limitations, it is impossible to do so.

I hope this procedure in Researchgate could be reevaluated.
