Thesedays, we get responses like, ... a number of reviewers have declined to review the manuscript, we are looking for peer reviewers at the moment.... etc from many journals. WHY more and more journals report that it is getting difficult to get someone to review the manuscripts?
What motivates or what does not motivate people to peer review?
This is mainly because there is no or very less incentive given to the reviewer from many journals. This demotivates a reviewer to give time to that journal. Also, the comments given by a reviewer to an article may not be correctly conveyed to the author before publication or the author does not send the modifications as reviewer has asked for and the reviewer have to review that particular article again and again.
