Thanks Abedin for commenting! The point is that Freud was a man. Imagine a women defining men's sexuality for them! No woman has ever confirmed his theories about the so-called vaginal orgasm. No one can explain how such orgasms could be achieved since intercourse relies on male responses and cannot continue up to female orgasm - even if the anatomy was correct and a woman was mentally aroused (which they are not with a lover). Imagine if a man had to orgasm within the timeframes set by his lover. Essentially women provide an orifice for a man to ejaculate into. But the act of male ejaculation within the vagina does not cause female orgasm.

I did a course on Lacan as part of a psychoanalytical degree and I turned to a female colleague on receiving this assessment and asked if this was true. With a disappointed look on her face, she merely shrugged her shoulders.

I think that whether male or female, first of all and any type of relationship, the existence of real affection and love will be more important than physical conditions, because it is the soul that can pull the body after it, and after having these important physical conditions For both sexes, it can be important in reaching the ultimate limit in any kind of relationship and case. Thanks Samal for your supportive comment. I find it amazing that a man is allowed to define female sexuality. Even today sexologists invent anatomy that is supposed to be involved in female orgasm with a lover. Both the G-spot & the idea that the clitoris is stimulated by the thrusting penis are used to explain the orgasms most men want to believe women have. There is no attempt to reconcile these explanations with women's masturbatory techniques. Women in the population are silent about orgasm and sexual pleasure. Yet sexologists continue to imply that a woman is dysfunctional if she does not orgasm with a lover. I have concluded that female orgasm only occurs alone. My conclusion confirms Alfred Kinsey's finding and Shere Hite's finding decades ago. It is a crime that women are not given this information today. Sex therapists make money out of sexual ignorance.

If a man moves to the rhythm of his own stimulation and stops moving once he ejaculates, then orgasm is indeed in the purview of the man and in such cases.. self stimulation to one's own rhythm might be the way orgasm is achieved in women. But for a reproductively aged woman, the clitoral stimulation might be generate a less powerful (or maybe no } contractal force of the uterus during orgasm.

This discussion is as concerning as Freuds original work . He did put things on the table to be discussed which is great, but so did others . He was so powerful at the time that if anyone disagreed with him he had the power to stoop them being published . This was the case for Sándor Ferenczi one of the 6 other co founders of psychoanalysis . Thanks for your comment! Not sure what you are suggesting. The point is that Freud was a man. Imagine a woman defining male sexuality! The fact that women accept a man defining their sexuality is an indication of women's lack of experience with (and hence lack of confidence in) how sexual response works. Some women even learn of the existence of the clitoris because a male lover tells them about it. No woman who masturbates to orgasm needs to be told about the role of the clitoris. The fact that educators today promote the clitoris is evidence that most women never find it. Therefore female orgasm is much, much rarer that supposed previously.
