After putting the PEO coated glass substrate into the oven and subjecting it to a temperature of 180 degrees, it obtains a haze on the glass. A peak Si was observed after EDX analysis. Is there any possibility that Si is in the polymer or the observed peak coming from the substrate?

Si is part of the glass substrate. Si K-radiation is able to pass a thin coating of polymer. Do you have an estimation on the coating thickness?
I do know what PEO means for metals, but I have no idea what it means for glass... Anyway, if it looks as "a haze on the glass", it could be pretty thin layer, transparent to electron beam, which would excite radiation from a glass substrate. Exactly as Gerhard Martens said.
Vladimir Dusevich do you know if this haze can occur on thin layout of ceramic coating? And another question if there is any way to avoid this?
