I have fabricated CNT bioactive glass composite but there is not much difference in FTIR spectra of composite and pure bioactive glass. What could be the possible reason? Please give any reference if possible.
Broadening of peak at 1500 cm-1 and 1200 cm-1 can be seen from graph also there is change in intensity of some peaks. You should dig into that perspective.
What is the amount of CNT in the composite? Maybe your concentration is too small, and it would be difficult to observe any large change or shift by FTIR, you should probably use another technique, like Raman.
Hi. Amount of CNT is very low and not enough to made a significant change in your peaks intensity. In order to reveal the existence of CNT in your composite you can employ EDX analysis.
As per ankaj Singh Chauhan the difference in 1500 cm-1 and broadening, represent formation of cnt. There are decrease in % transmitance represent increase in absorption which means there are increase or extra functional groups comparing bioactive glass composite. To confirm you can go for UV the decrease in absorbance of absorption maxima might represent nano formation.
