I am working in HEC-HMS model the newest version (4.8) and I am stuck as I am getting zero peak discharge values at the outlet of the basin!
please note that I am using Snyder's unit hydrograph for the transform, Muskingum method for the routing, and SCS Curve number for loss. Also, I am using a 100-year return period SCS type-I storm pattern.
I am willing to get the runoff hydrograph at the outlet. The simulation is running simply but I am getting zero discharge at the outlet!!!
is that have any relation to the volume? because I am also getting zero volume values in the global summary table.
kindly clarify how to handle it !

it has happened to me too to have both final flow and zero volume. Usually the resolutions to the problem were:
- A too Low CN (0 to 35) in more than one sub-basin which made my surface runoff zero (although this is to be checked because you might actually have situations like this);
- Lag values too high that make that, in the chosen time interval, you can't see the peak of the flood; so you can try to increase the time interval to check if the peak is there or not;
- You can try to transform your CN to CNIII to see if in saturated conditions your basin generates runoff or not.
However, if you have some real data (runoff curve or even just the hydraulic head) you can try to run the model with the rainfall corresponding to the curve and optimize your model.
