I'm working in boron removal from aqueous solutions.

Is it recommended to prepare a synthetic solution with different salts to mimic seawater as I'm going to compare my results with natural seawater..?

If yes, *Can anyone provide me with a procedure for the preparation?..

and *Why most of the studies are using only boric acid and distilled water for their prepared solution in B-removal studies whereas they shouldn't ignore the effect of the presence of other salts?!

Thank you
