In an experiment, the surface temperature of concrete raised quite higher than the ambient during day time due to intense irradiance. At night, this temperature was dropped due to convective heat transfer to the ambient and even goes 2-3 ◦C below than the ambient temperature. Once the surface is cooler than ambient, why it is further cooling and where this heat is flowing?
