Probably that is related to way how papers, articles and other items are entered but just wanted to make sure. Google Scholar does that automatically and also provide possibility to add articles manually.
P.S. Also patent citations seem not to be counted at all here on ResearchGate.

They are two different platforms and so the way they operate might not necessarily be the same
There are differences in number of citations for contributions (papers, articles, books etc.) which is significant between these two platforms. I don't think it is all right.
Also, I can't see any of my patents citation counted here on ResearchGate. However, Google Scholar recorded most of them automatically, but ResearchGate haven't counted any so far. I put this issue as separate question but there is no answer so far.
Luciano da F. Costa thank you for comment. Here I have just looked into h-index which should have same definition for both, Google Scholar and ResearchGate.

Hence, there shouldn't be any difference for this one. Somehow, ResearchGate haven't counted many of citations, at least for me. Patents citations are not counted at all, so far.

In my opinion, RG is not so effective as Google scholar in finding the citations.
Srdjan Atanasijevic - Thank you, that can be key reason for difference. Based on this, citations are counted here on limited subset of papers, only those uploaded to RG.
For some types of research, authors are not allowed to upload full texts. For patents especially full texts are at patent offices (e.g. USPTO, CIPO, CIPO, EPO, WIPO...) and I think inventors are not allowed to upload those to ResearchGate. As result, way described above will not find any patent citations.
It is pity IMHO.
we can not forget that google has more resources to find citations. It is the biggest search engine
There's a difference because in these databases a different quantity of your papers, e.g. Scopus considers only articles published in the journals (or procedia) that are included in this database; Google takes into account all the articles that are mentioned in the Internet; R-gate works almost on the same system.
The "true" h-index is thought that in Scopus or Web of Science.
