Maybe because there is no standard award for glass science as it is in other fields like medicine, chemistry, etc. Someone should make a suggestion to the Nobel committee?
I agree with Dr. Michael. Probably the satellite of the noble prizes have not chanced on glass research despite its great scientific technology! It must be suggested to the committee.
