I have been searching for previous works about the electrospun PCL polymer for air filtration application to check its compatibility but could find much works done with this polymer for that specific application. Mostly PCL is use for tissue engineering/wound healing/scaffolds etc.
Anybody could shed some lights about it?

Following your assumption, i.e., “PCL (polycaprolactone) is less used for air filtration applications”, I believe that the main reason is the low melting temperature of PCL (about 60 °C) and why not, some mechanical characteristics (high strain, low tensile strength and rigidity). However, I will not exclude that in some scientific papers we will find some mentions regarding the utilization of PCL for air filtration, thus I will be prudent in taking a definitive conclusion.
We must consider the requirements of final applications (e.g., conditions of temperature, mechanical constraints, and so on).
A good possibility for the air purification application could be to consider the utilization of PCL alloys with (bio)polymers of interest, e.g., PLA (polylactide).

Dear all, another possible reason is that being polyesters, they will at least swell due to the humidity of air. If this happens, all the features of the membrane will be altered. If it is a dry air I don't see any harm in using them. My Regards
It is a bio-polyester and it has a low melting point as well as mechanical properties. Although, it can be degraded by hydrolysis of its ester linkages.
