I provide a series of questions that challenge the sexual ignorance in the population that is so accurately reflected in the theories suggested by sexologists. I am sure that scientists will welcome the opportunity to acknowledge the total lack of evidence from the real world (as opposed to erotic fiction) for female responsiveness. The contradictions and anomalies in the popular beliefs about female sexuality (typically with zero evidence from the female population) need to be addressed.
A major component to this issue, sexological lack of openness , may be the over centralization of academia:

I have contacted numerous women who have PhD's or are researchers or therapists. They refuse to answer even basic questions. They do not want to discuss sexual issues. Basically they only engage when they are paid to do so. They are speaking from a script - no doubt written by a man. They have no time apparently even for the most basic comment on sexual response.

Thanks Alexander for commenting. I have spent years asking women in the population and academics and professionals to comment on female sexual response. Most of them have no idea even what that would mean. Sex is taboo because of the massive difference in responsiveness between the sexes. Men's inability to accept this difference does not help. Women compete with each other for male attention because of the rewards that men offer to women who offer them regular intercourse. I have found no so-called sex experts of any description who can answer any of the questions I am asking. But men comment much more than women ever do.
If accredited institutions awarded PhDs by Publication in sexology then women would probably be incentivized to give more original answers thus creating a more open discussion.
Better yet, the arbitrary requirements of prior degrees could be abolished for receiving a doctorate and PhDs in sexology could be awarded only based on rigor and originality of response. Almost definitely, causing an open discussion.
Women's silence on sexual topics arises for many reasons. Firstly, their sexuality has been defined for them by men & has nothing to do with real women's sexual experiences. This causes untold confusion for men and for women. Secondly, responsiveness is a male characteristic. Responsiveness is part of male reproductive function. Female responsiveness is rare and much much lower as indicated by Kinsey. Thirdly, men are aroused by explicit sexual discussions. Women are not. Research indicates that men have a much greater interest in all things sexual compared with women. Women talk of relationships and platonic love. They are offended by references to genitals (their own or a lover's) and erotic fantasy. They clearly do not understand how sexual response works.
