When all scientific journal Editors are strongly competing by development sophisticated evaluation systems, it is rather surprising that there is no evaluation system for scientific books, often with more important input to science that single publications in journals. It is surprising even more, if we become aware of the fact that all publications in the journal issue have the same impact factor, independently of their individual value. Do you have any idea for the reason?
