We are recently studying a materials containing propylene carbonate (PC) as co-solvent. And the TGA results show it started to decompose below 200 C (~110 -150 C). When we analyzed each components individually, we found the PC showed a low thermal degradation temperature (100% weight loss below 200C).

We believe the thermal degradation behavior is because of the co-solvent, PC. But there is no literature reporting its thermal behavior. According to the SDS, the boiling point of PC is about 240C. Is that normal? Our TGA was conducted in N2.
