Most analysts agree that globalization produces winners and losers. Reflecting on the different dimensions of globalization—economic, political and sociocultural—and drawing on two or more perspectives (e.g., world polity theory, world-systems theory, critical global approach, commodity chain framework) why does globalization ensue  such divergent outcomes in these respective domains - is globalization really the issue? Has globalization become  a buzzword both in public discourse and within the academy, which seems to often lack theoretical, analytical, and empirical specificity...?
