Dear All,
I have seen doctors giving up on striving patient easily when the patient is trying hard to live,
Patient female, 50 yo with history of father deceased of MI at 55 yo. Last 5 years of angiogram indicates normal (?) diagnosis despite DSE positive positive. 5 years later CT Angio indicates 25 to 50% LAD and RAD blocked. 50% blocked carotid artery.
No medicines were started despite weekly 5 min stop/start heart weekly pain. "No tests" were indicated on every clinic visits for 2 years. Last year MIBI and DSE due body habitus (?). Heart specialists refused to conduct further tests and discharge patient till her death despite informing latest finding of weekly 5 min stop/start heart activity.
QUESTION
1. Is this normal for the doctor to leave the patient without treatment even after the 5 min stop/start heart activity was reported?
2. Why heart specialists are so aloof as to discharge the patient despite questionable MIBI, DSE and the 5min stop/start heart activity leading to her death?
3. Is it true angiogram can last for 10 years when on the 5th year the heart blockage has covered 25 to 50 % RAD, LAD and 50% carotid artery based on the so-called CT Angio gold standard?
4. What is the condition called for the 5 min stop/start weekly heart activity?
5. Does that lead to the untimely and unfortunate death?
6. If this is so, why do heart specialists easily give up on her - because there is no more money to make or out of sheer convenience of discharging chronic patient?
Kindly assist to identify this "malady" of this 5 min stop/start heart activity and also the specialists "malady" of going for money more than for the best interest of the patient - to live.
## The whole of the Heart Centre only 2 Filipino MO can find the vein for the poor patient. No surgeons can attempt to set the plug even for CT Angio - are they fit to be called surgeons in the first place and the morbidity rate is high ##
Thank you and best regards.
