Hi,
Recently, we have witnessed an unusual situation in which electric charge of an ongoing electropolymerization decreases after a certain length of polymerization, thus polymer no longer grows towards the pre-set charge limit (image attached). What could be responsible for this?
NB: Similar polymerization on bulk electrode of Au slide does not show this anomaly. Also, different reference and counter electrodes have been tried with no improvement.
Has anyone experienced this and what measures were taken to overcome the challenges so as to ensure a precise and consistent film deposition from one synthesis to another? Thank you.
