Male erotic turn-ons are typically very evident. A man may refer to them. He may ask a partner to provide them. Men enjoy talking about what arouses them because such references are arousing in themselves. Male turn-ons tend to involve real-world triggers such as a partner’s nudity, their genitals, his own erection and possible opportunities for penetrative sex. Conversely, women are often offended by any sexual references. Women also rarely refer to enjoying eroticism or sexual pleasure.
It is for a cultural reason. Women everywhere are envouraged not to talk about such issues.
Thanks Osman for commenting. Please note that it is nearly always men who reply to my questions. Men enjoy talking of sexual pleasure. Women never do. Doesn't that seem strange? They are embarrassed because they are unresponsive. Intercourse is done to them by men. They are not aroused. No one can name any female erotic turn-ons. Even men would not like to be the receiver of intercourse. Only the penetrating male ever pays for sex. This is because he enjoys the pleasure of intercourse. I am trying to establish this fact. Women in Western countries boast about orgasm but they never refer to enjoying eroticism or sexual pleasure. This is the point I am making.
Yes, this is a very interesting area of research. As could be observed in the Middleastern and African societies, women speak about this issues within their own circles, but not in the public domain which is dominated by men. A woman who speaks about eroticism in public is considered to be a “badly socialized” one.
In my experience, women talk of love and their children. They never talk of sex except as bravado or as a joke. Even female sexologists refuse to discuss orgasm, here in the West and yet they are all promoting these orgasms that come from erotic fiction. This is the stupidity that I am challenging. I realise it will be an endless task - as with all human stupidities.
