When I was a young woman, I was surprised that other women had no interest in talking about any aspect of sexuality. It was never possible to compare notes on masturbation and responsiveness. Over the years, I noticed other anomalies. Women do not seem to understand the strength of men’s feelings towards sex. They never refer to their enjoyment of eroticism, arousal or sexual pleasure. Most women are offended by sexual references of any kind. I learned not to mention sex in front of women.
