I am conducting an experiment on Plasma Response. I applied RMP to plasma, and I also applied it to vacuum, the difference between these fields is Plasma Response, but I don't understand the theoretical explanation behind my results.
All the way around (I refer to Sangwan's answer) it is also possible to modulate the applied magnetic field in time in order to trigger Alfven waves which the propagate across the tokamak plasma and -if properly arranged- heat it.
