There is a belief that sexuality must include sexual responsiveness – that is the ability to experience erotic arousal and orgasm. But, in fact, responsiveness is clearly a characteristic of male sexuality. Male orgasm is a vital aspect of male reproductive function. Female orgasm has nothing to do with reproduction. It is therefore a rare phenomenon that is not typically a characteristic of female sexuality. A woman can live her whole life without orgasm because she never knows what she is missing.
