I analysed surface area (BET), total pore volume, non-micropore volume, pore size distribution of biochar before adsorption and after equilibrium-reached adsorption of cationic and anionic dyes. The removal efficiency of biochar for cationic and anionic dyes was nearly 100%.

I think that if adsorption mechanisms related to pore of biochar, the surface area total pore volume, non-micropore volume of biochar after adsorption must decrease.

Biochar was pyrolysised at 800 oC under O2-limited condition, so the amount of acid groups of biochar surface was negligible.

Thanks for your help.
