Why do some women think that they are aroused by pornography? Clearly women do not know how their own arousal works so they copy what men use instead. Such claims make women attractive to men. However, whichever position is used for intercourse, a woman cannot see either her own genitals or her partner’s. Nor can she see the explicit act of penetration – penis thrusting into the vagina. Few women want to. So how could women evolve a liking for porn when they don’t see this view in reality?

Besides the DNA, there are other ways of genetic heritage; for instance, recently the role of microbiota in endosymbiosis with our enteric neural system has been implicated in several mental disorders and also in mental health. In the history of humanity, women were exposed to diverse adaptive situations, many of them we would not approve today, but we cannot change history. Therefore, the unconscious of both men and woman, and other genres, contains patterns of reaction to stimuli that we don't understand well.
The fact is that pornography depicts a male perspective on sex - the male view. A woman cannot see her own genitals at any time. Nor can she see the action of intercourse or the penis during sex. So how could she ever have evolved the ability to be aroused by such sights? Kinsey concluded that women find the genitals of either sex ugly. I agree. Porn is certainly not censored by men! Millions of women worldwide ensure that porn is censored in every society to protect women's sensibilities - their dislike of genitals and explicit sexual activity. Jane, the issue here is that sex is more than genitals. Sex is a type of interaction between people, phylogenetically related to reproduction and survival of the species. It is not necessary to keep looking at genitals to feel the sexual vibration. This vibration elicits the endochrine and nervous system to release neuropeptides and hormones that create excitation and feelings of pleasure. In this context, even acts that usually are taken as disgusting may cause some type of excitation and pleasure.
Clearly as a male you are talking about the male perspective. I am talking about the female perspective. There is no erotic arousal with a lover. No one can name even one female erotic turn-on. So if a woman feels anything at all, it is purely connected with the relationship - emotional sensations.
