I need to measure the ionic conductivity of an ionic liquid and PVDF-HFP gel electrolyte and know how it changes with different concentrations of Li salts addition. I poured the solution in petri dishes and evaporated the solvent. Then punched the gel electrolyte into small rounds and assembled in special molds. Used EIS method to get the impedance. Finally got the film out and measured thickness. However, the thickness just varied a lot even for pieces from the same large electrolyte film. And Iarge error bars for ionic conductivity with same composition. How can I get accurate ionic conductivity value?

Instead of evaporating, remove moisture gradually in a desiccator using substances such as phosphorus pentoxide, anhydrous calcium chloride ... or remove moisture under vacuum. Then the film will be more uniform.

you have to make a deconvolution of the relative shares of the electronic and ionic (partial transport) limitations[1] over short and long ranges regarding the performance limitation of the interfaces.
The performance of the polymer gel electrolyte (PGE//Metal1) interfaces will improve if you could replace the Metal1 (two stainless steel electrodes) by Metal2 (Cu or even Li).
So, insert a (new, shiny) foil of Metal2 in the (PGE//Metal1) interface, e.g. majke it like this : PGE//Metal2/Metal1.
PS: Show, please, some (new-EIS Z-) spectra (10mHz < f < 100 kHz).
