The recent collapse of the Brumadinho dam in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, raises the question of continuous dams and dikes failures around the globe.

so many factors why Dam collapse commonly cause of this if there is an earthquake for high intensity like above 7.5 richter scale there is a posibility that will collapse during the occurence .
There are many reasons for dam collapses which may include seepage, piping, erosion of downstream side, and poor maintenance. In addition to above the earthquakes may also result in to dam collapses, Koyna Dam is the example of damages due to earthquake.
