Currently, I'm evaluating some plant extracts to explore their photoprotective efficacy as UV filters. Using the Mansur mathematical equation to determine spectrophotometrical SPF I realized that dilution factor is not considered in the result, so it is difficult to compare different species because they need different dilutions so they could accomplish Beer-Lambert law, but if I just simply multiple by the correction factor by dilution SPF values are huge. Could you suggest something?
