Bradman et al. have measured median (max) concentrations of formaldehyde of 18 (49) µg/m3 in childhood educational centers in California. Measurements were carried over one day at one single location. Thus, short-term peak levels of 30 min according to the WHO (2010) IAQ guideline of 100 µg/m3 were unavailable. The WHO (2010) guideline safeguards against sensory irritation and also cancer WHO (2010).
