I did the implantation of fibroblast cells isolated from the back skin of baby mice. The growth medium was given additional treatment in the form of ascorbic acid as much as 150 microliters, then incubated for 3 days. After 3 days of incubation, contamination in the form of fungus was clearly visible (visible macroscopically) and there were crystals like the picture (seen under a microscope). What could possibly make it look like that? Where did the crystals come from? And is it possible that the volume of ascorbic acid that I put into the growth medium is too much? Please give me feedback, suggestions, and so on

These polyhedral geometric structures are "oxalate" crystals that have resulted from the metabolism of ascorbic acid.

Your culture likely grew mold due to contamination, possibly from airborne spores, unsterile equipment, or improper handling. The crystal-like appearance under the microscope might be due to spore structures or crystallized metabolic byproducts produced by the mold.
Use freshly prepared N-acetyl Cysteine in final concentration of 1 mM. It hampers the oxidation of ascorbic acid to oxalate without significant change in its function of interest.
