Recently, I purchased 2,5-Norbornadiene from a well known commercial sources. It is written on the container that "Air sensetive. Keep in Argon atmosphere".
I was wondering why it is air sensitive and what are the byproducts form upon reaction with Air.

Dear Avinash Dhamija, to my knowledge, norbornadiene is not terribly air-sensitive. I assume that a mixture of oxidation products could form upon prolonged standing. For further reactions, it would certainly make sense to freshly distill the norbornadiene prior to use. Cited below is an article describing the deliberate oxidation of norbornadiene.
