Why Arnold Cat Map is widely used to encrypt the watermark?

What is the main reason that most of the researcher uses ACM to encrypt the watermark? There is various other image encryption technique but for watermarking ACM technique is used?

Dear Sanjay Kumar

I don't see any specific reason for using of Arnold cat map, rather than its simplicity that contributes into reducing the computational complexity.
