Why aren't drugs implementing activation of cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway (n-cholinomimetics, α7nAChR agonists, etc.) used in treatment of COVID-19?

It was found that activation of cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway reduces the concentration of pro-inflammatory cytokines in the blood and organs during sepsis, and various infectious diseases, while significantly reducing mortality.
