Why are samples destined for activated carbon carbon preparation not dried above 110°C in pretreatment?

I always find it in articles in the range of 105-110C°, no more. Is there a reason for this?

Is there any answer?

There is usually no need to go beyond 105 degrees C. Most of the times the degassing occurs at high vacuum, so room temperature should remove most of the moisture. Samples are generally taken bit above 100 degC only in case there is very strongly adsorbed water.
