The answer of question depends on method of film deposition.

How are you depositing your film? Spin coating or sputtering or thermal evaporation?

1. If films are spin coated using sol-gel solution, then annealing is required to remove carbon materials and to get crystalline phase.

2. If films are themally evaporated or sputtered, then annealing is used to remove strain in films and to improve adhesion with substrate.
