The product is sparing soluble in methanol but when cooled often simply makes a thick oil with a skin. When ether or DCM is added it starts to precipitate but on stirring is back to the liquid form. I have tried pet ether, ether, acetone, IPA, 1,2 DCE, DCA, n-heptane, hexane. I'm getting frustrated.
