Why am I having a hard time crystallizing a phenyl, benzyl imidazoline acetamide citrate?

The product is sparing soluble in methanol but when cooled often simply makes a thick oil with a skin. When ether or DCM is added it starts to precipitate but on stirring is back to the liquid...
