We are leaving in an era of mass Migration in any part of the World. Three days ago, many migrants from Africa and Asia have been killed in the South of Italy. The Italian authorities are trying to deal with the responsability of such tragedy. On the other side, it seems that the African Institutions are not able to explain the fact. How an entire Continent could observe its population migrate without trying any solution to stop it. What do you think about this matter? I think that International Co-opertion has the most responsability in this. African States are not able to follow their own Endogenous Development Programs. Thank you for your contributions.
It should be strange for an African Researcher to ask such question! My real Objective is to share with those who are interested in African matters, what is Africa in international affairs. The Continent has no power, and most of its initiatives are not for Africans. It seems that people in Africa is most interested in Racism, more than Economic and Human Development. We can't talk about our Leaders, because they are not able to enforce poewe in the international arena. Our Leaders have to wait for decisions from outside before acting, like migrants' situation in Libya. Sins years ago, we are trying to tell Leaders that Africa needs some new Institutions, the most important is The Common Foreign and Security Policy! Only in this way, the Continent could be able to resolve its problems. The problem is: who is going to allow Africa to make such choice?
Quite simply, African leaders would not have cared about the reasons and motives for their youth to emigrate, so how do you expect them to care about addressing the post-migration repercussions? The problem is that the nature of the ruling regimes in the majority of African countries are regimes that lack legitimacy and are corrupt and linked to external powers. They do not care about the interests of their people, but rather the personal interests of leaders and their survival in power for as long as possible, even at the expense of their people and the interests of their nations.
