After adding a published version of a preprint where I have cited my previously published paper, the number of citations is incremented by one. While it must be considered as the same citation and should not be incremented.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

After searching for this issue, the number of citations shown in the researcher profile is not adequate since it doesn't take into account duplicate citations (pre-print and published version). To check the real citations counter, you should refer to the h-index within the scores page.

Why ResearchGate lets you create a link between the pre-print and the published version if we should delete it? In addition, this will make me lose the pre-print statistics.- Badges
