hello. I am trying to use Aspen Plus energy analysis for heat integration. When I open Aspen Energy Analyzer, one heat exchanger is not shown anywhere. I have no different settings for this particular HeatX compared to the others. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it? thank you in advance.
It's hard to say are you sure it is a heat exchanger and not just a cooler (or a heater)
I've faced with the same drawback, I may recommend you the verification of pressure drops (in some cases eliminate it), also the exchanger could be small (with small duty) and the verification of the TQ curves.
Finally, you could exclude the exchanger of the Pinch Analysis through Hierarchy Block.
