This is wonderful, we need and want fresh perspectives in the team, so what I suggest are 3 things (to get the basics in place):
1) the Enterprise Architecture Ontology we have developed is based on the Business Ontology work we do with ISO, OMG, CEN, LEAD, NATO etc. So I suggest that you read the following: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/287958619_Overview_of_the_Business_Ontology_Research_Analysis
2) the Enterprise Architecture work is based on the Enterprise Semantics work we do. Reading this, will immediately give you a sense of how it cross relates (as we developed Enterprise Architecture semantic meta models): https://www.researchgate.net/publication/286935715_The_Enterprise_Semantics_Framework
3) The last and 3rd thing this relates to is the EA research done in the filed: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/286935929_The_Enterprise_Architecture_Concepts
So you see that this has been a lot of work (where we followed the same research approach in order that it interlinks) and we would as mentioned love to have people joining the team (fresh perspectives and views are always welcome and needed). I furthermore suggest that you send me an email on where you believe you can/would like to add value in the Enterprise Architecture research area. Click on follow me ( will do the same with you, so we can follow each other in research gate). Vote this to Quality of contribution, so it gets a higher status and thereby more readers (that would be nice).
Last but not least, lets then connect over skype (details can be discussed in the email: [email protected]
I look forward to hear from anybody who would like to particpate.

Sounds interesting but I'll have to run it by my boss to see how much information we can expose to public. Allstate definitely has a mature enterprise architecture that is constantly evolving with adopting new technologies and ideas.
Enterprise Architecture is one of my core research areas. I have previously researched on EA and currently hold TOGAF foundations certificate. I am very much interested in carrying out research in enterprise architecture.
@ all that could be interested in our EA research. Yes, I would be interested in joining this effort! My EA approach yields a more holistic result, necessary for overcoming technology silos. I would like to see the current architecture framework extended to encompass the strategic level.
Thanks for the open invitation! I have studied collaborative BPM in the e-Health context and see that as a integrated part of the Enterprise Architecture Development cycle, so I would like to join in at this effort! Best regards, Niels F.
I would like to participate in the EA research. I am currently busy with my masters degree in Ideation oriented Enterprise Architecture. I am looking at the TRIZ and various other idea forming techniques.
