I am very interesting by the meeting of interested in people, expert or not, researchers or clinicians and philosophers or educational professionals. I would like Foster on Researchgates creation of a sort of virtual taskforce about clinical procédures to promoting all kind of neuronal plasticity (anatomic, physioligical and functionnal, behavioural and cognitive) which works and can be verified, based on evidence of practice effects (e;g; neuroimagine technics and so on)...
I hope write next a paper about pratical aspect of cognitive remediation, especially with ASD... and it could be a good job to share and improve our know-how....

I'm a finishing PhD student (2 months left!) in neuropsychology, in Toulouse (with a cosupervision in Quebec). I'm working on adaptative strategies of teenagers with high functioning autism, regarding their academic success. I'd like to continue my research on a more cognitive and neuropsychological / neurophysiological side. For the moment, I'm totally devoted to my PhD but after I would be very interested to talk more with you.

Neurodegenerative diseases have different manifestations and different causes than developmental disorders, however, I find that we have a common field of interest ... rehabilitation techniques and procedures can, based on common objectives, be based on I think that by building on what research tells us every day about the laws of recovery / restoration / compensation and rules of functioning of the nervous system and the brain, we can identifie Common Factors and Finding the Best Techniques and Knowledge Congenial and Relational Faqs for our Therapy ... I find it very interesting what Norman Doidge, in The Brain That Changes Itself: Stories of Personal Triumph from the Frontiers of Brain Science, Low of neuroplasticity .... But I'm just starting to talk about how with minimum hardware (and not with complex hardware and Costly, we can facilitate processes for recovery of deficits or development of adaptive functions, how improving functionning ...
Of course we will have to validate all this through research and a scientific method.
We are creating together the premises for a more dynamic and clinical approach to these processes.
