In my sort of masterthesis I am currently working on a way to visualize typological data of two or more languages to graphically display their distances to each other. Now what I am looking for are people who also are working on visualization of linguistic data, so that I know where to get current papers, articles etc.
The typology group in Marburg (Philipps-Universität Marburg) might be of help.

Hi Sven, I have tried once with a Russian database containing data for 350 languages, but all parameters are somehow... numeric, in the sense that that they ate 0 or 1. I had to transform them with let's say - kind of total sums. So in this case a simple stat product of type SPSS makes perfect trees. Distances are displayed, correlations can be found... One may even try to do principle component analyses.
